    Often caused by routine shutdowns, rapid temperature changes cause repeated expansion and contraction, putting unmanageable stress on gasketed joints.

  • Oxidation

    Sealing materials lose mass in the highly oxidised environments that are present in the chemical processes within nitrogen fertilizer applications, exacerbated even further by high temperatures and which ultimately cause leaks.

  • Pressure

    In combination with high temperatures, extremes in pressure can also place unmanageable demands on sealing materials and gaskets.

Nitric Acid

Approximately 55 million t/year of nitric acid are produced globally with projections of further growth over the next 5 years.
